01 / PLAYER FAQ
Gear, gems & materials
How do I get gear?
Hunt monsters for materials and a chance to receive Common gear. You can also open Armory → Gear, select an empty equipment slot and tap Forge. A Common piece costs 6 Common materials for that set + 9 Common Forge Stone.
Which monsters should I hunt?
- Ember Fiend: Ember for Attack gear.
- Iron Guardian: Guardian Steel for Defence gear.
- Storm Wraith: Storm Crystal for Speed gear.
- Ancient Treant: Life Crystal for Production gear.
All four families can drop Forge Stone.
How do I improve my gear?
Select a piece in the Armory and use its upgrade option. Collect the materials shown in the recipe.
The equipment tiers are Common → Refined → Rare → Epic → Mythic → Ancient → Ancient I → Ancient II → Ancient III.
Do I need to switch between my four gear sets?
No. Equipped Attack, Defence, Production and Speed gear each contribute their relevant bonuses. You do not need to select one active set.
What are gems for?
Gems add bonuses when placed in compatible gear sockets. Higher-tier gear unlocks more sockets. Combine two identical, unequipped gems to make one of the next tier.
What if I have the wrong material tier?
Use the Materials section to combine lower-tier materials or split higher-tier materials. Check the conversion preview before confirming.
Why does my equipment say “League Capped”?
Your league limits its effective strength: Bronze: Rare; Silver: Epic; Gold: Mythic; Royal/Champion: unrestricted. You keep the item and its upgrades.
02 / PLAYER FAQ
Mastery, monuments & powers
What is mastery?
Mastery is an upgrade you buy with Fragments in Mastery & Powers. Clan members’ mastery combines to strengthen the matching monuments while your clan holds them.
What does each mastery improve?
- Ember: Attack monument bonus.
- Iron: Defence monument bonus.
- Storm: Movement-speed monument bonus.
- Ancient: Gold-production and troop-training monument bonuses.
How do I get Fragments?
Successful monster hunts award Fragments. You can also scrap unwanted gear and gems for them. Scrapping destroys the selected item, so check carefully!
Why am I not receiving a monument bonus?
Your clan must hold the corresponding monument. Mastery alone does not activate that bonus. Check your clan’s monument overview to see which bonuses are active.
Are mastery and powers the same thing?
No. Mastery strengthens monument bonuses. Powers are consumable boosts, and using one spends a power item, not your mastery levels.
What do the four powers do?
- Ember: Boosts an attacking march.
- Iron: Boosts defence in one city or held monument.
- Storm: Speeds up an eligible march.
- Ancient: Shields one city and boosts its production.
Choose Ember or Storm when sending a march; use Iron or Ancient from an owned city.
How do I get powers, and how often can I use them?
Powers can drop from the matching monster family or be bought with crystals. Each family has its own 24-hour cooldown after use. Owning extra copies does not bypass it.
Can I break my Ancient shield?
Yes. Sending new marches from or to that city breaks its shield. The production boost continues for its remaining duration.
03 / PLAYER FAQ
Progression & everyday play
What should I focus on first?
Upgrade your cities, build your army, hunt monsters you can defeat and start filling your gear slots. Join a clan to work together and benefit from held monuments.
Where are my bonus troops?
Troop-production bonuses from skills and gear accumulate in Training. Open it and tap Collect troops to send them to your capital. Base troop production remains in your cities.
Do cities produce resources while I am offline?
Yes. City production and Training continue while you are away.
What is the difference between troop count and power?
Troop count is the number of soldiers. Battle attack and defence also include bonuses and, where applicable, city defences. Your overall player power is a separate measure of your kingdom.
What does “Recovered” mean in a battle report?
Those troops survived through the recovery system. Permanent losses are the soldiers actually lost. Losing the battle does not necessarily mean losing every troop permanently.
How often do rankings update?
They request fresh information roughly every 30 seconds while open, so recent changes may take a moment to appear.
How do I complete the daily scouting task?
Scout another player’s city. Scouting a neutral grey city does not count toward that task.
How should I report a bug?
Post your in-game name, Android/iOS, what you were doing and roughly when it happened. Add a screenshot or short video if possible. Never share passwords or login codes.
Can the rules change during the beta?
Yes. Balance and features may change as we test. Please check announcements for updates.
